Essentials
We are a diverse group of women who come from different countries, cultures, and sub-cultures. Although we are diverse, we also have unity, and that unity is found in our love for our Savior, Jesus. As we go through the study, there are some essentials that will keep our study on track and our conduct glorifying God. These essentials are outlined below.
No Politics Zone
In today's world, nothing divides a group faster than politics. During our discussion times, we will refrain from all political comments. This includes political references, political parties, political personalities (including the president), Covid, vaccines, and masking. Instead, we will focus on Jesus and those whom we meet in the pages of the Bible.
Churches and Denominations
We have numerous churches and denominations represented by the women in our group. Our focus is on the Word of God, not the churches that we attend or our pastors. Our discussions will revolve around what the Bible says, not what our churches or pastors say.
Attendance
We love it when everyone can come to our discussion group. However, we know that we all have busy lives and responsibilities. Come when you can, and we will be delighted to see you.
Discussion Participation
Our Bible study is discussion based; however, class members will not be called on during discussion time. Instead, anyone may answer the question that is asked, and no one will be singled out to answer. You will not be put on the spot in any way. We want our discussion group to be anxiety-free and a safe place for everyone. Additionally, you may participate in the discussion even if you have not had an opportunity to prepare and have not completed the lesson.
Camera Must be On
Please ensure that your camera remains on during the entire discussion. This promotes unity and group cohesion. It also facilitates better communication and participation on the part of group members.
Families
Our focus in the discussion group will be on the Scripture that we have studied and its application to our lives. We only have an hour each week, so we will limit our discussion to the text that we have studied. Accordingly, we will not be discussing family situations during our discussion time. If you would like prayer for a family member, please submit a prayer request, and we will pray for you and your family.
